Most property management companies don't write. They list. They book. They process.
We decided to do something different.
This journal is the field notebook from inside Bleuspace — the company we're building to redefine what short-term rental management means in the Philippines. We started in Davao with a handful of properties, a singular obsession with quality, and a hunch that AI was going to fundamentally change how hospitality works. Two years in we have 25+ properties at a 4.95-star average, an AI agent we built ourselves handling thousands of guest conversations a month, and a team of operators who care about hospitality as a craft, not a checklist.
We're going to write about all of it, openly.
What you'll find here
Travel guides for Davao, Metro Manila, BGC, and the markets we're expanding into. Written by people who actually host guests in these neighborhoods every week. Not the generic listicles every other site recycles — the specific stuff: where to actually eat, what to do on a rainy Thursday, what's worth your half-day if you only have one.
Investor stories from property owners who've worked with us. Not the polished testimonials. The actual decisions — why they switched managers, what they were skeptical about, what surprised them. If you're a landlord weighing whether to partner with a manager or self-manage, these will give you the unfiltered version.
Industry insights from our front-row seat to Philippine STR. We watch this market closely — what's changing in OTA dynamics, what regulations are emerging, where the next wave of demand is coming from. We're going to share what we see, not as marketing fluff, but as actual analysis.
Behind the scenes from running the company. How Bleu, our AI agent, replies to guests at 3 AM. How our supervisor catches an escalation before it spirals. How we decide which properties to take on. The operational reality of running a 4.95-star company at 25+ properties — and what we're learning about scaling without losing the things that make us premium.
What we won't do
We won't write fluff to game search rankings. Every post here is something a real person at Bleuspace wanted to say. If we have nothing to say in a given week, we won't post.
We won't pretend we have everything figured out. We're early. We're learning. We'll write about what we got wrong as readily as what we got right.
We won't write to sell. If a post happens to convince an owner to partner with us or a guest to book direct, great. But the journal exists because we have things worth saying, not because we needed a content marketing funnel.
Why now
Philippine short-term rentals are in a strange in-between moment. AI is changing what's possible. OTAs are squeezing on commission. Guests are getting more discerning. Owners are getting more sophisticated. Regulations are evolving. And almost no one is writing about any of it from the inside.
So we will.
If something here lands, share it. If something resonates differently, write us back. We read every email at owners@bleuspace.co and hello@bleuspace.co.
Glad you're here.
